Iris setosa Alaska

Medium
Painting - Watercolor On 140 Lb Paper
Description
Iris setosa is one of the most prolific wildflowers in the state of Alaska. There are swampy areas where the Iris is blooming in mass, creating a lovely lavender blue sea of color. The great thing is, the Iris seed can be harvested in the fall and planted in perennial gardens. Patience is the key. Dividing the clumps is actually a much better way to get more plants to share with fellow gardeners.
